A bass guitarist, pianist and composer, Piotr Damse, apart from his active participation as a stage musician in Cracow’s live music scene, decided to publish his debut album. It was released by Lynx Music record label, renowned for promotion of progressive music, though the above- mentioned album does not present as being overly progressive. The following album constitutes a kaleidoscope of sounds inspired by ethnic and folk instruments such as banjo, duduk, harp or violin. Electronic music also plays its role here, adding to its expressive value.
Supported by lush harmony, the artist clashes various musical phrases. The abundance of musical genres utilised in the project takes us throughout music regions of the world, which brings out multidimensional character of the recorded material. If one could illustrate the album with one accurate expression, it would be ‘film music without a film’.
